熊本県津奈木町にて、温泉の休憩施設をリノベーションし、既存の機能を残しながら8室の客室を備えた宿泊施設へと再編しました。敷地前を流れる津奈木川とともに、地域に親しまれてきた建物です。
特徴的なトラス構造の屋根は耐震補強を施しつつ可能な限り保存し、既存の空間的個性を継承。愛されてきた風景を残しながら、ホテルとしての新たな機能を加え、より多くの方々に使っていただける施設を目指しました。Located in Tsunagi, Kumamoto, this project renovates a former hot spring rest facility, retaining its original function while introducing eight guest rooms to create a small hotel. Situated along the Tsunagi River, the building has long been familiar to the local community.
The distinctive trussed roof structure was seismically reinforced and carefully preserved, allowing the character of the existing architecture to remain while accommodating the new hospitality program.
